Manchester United supporters have voted for their man of the match in the 2-1 win against Crystal Palace today.

United got back to winning ways in the Premier League after dropping five points in their last two games, including the return fixture against Palace.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring after six minutes before Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 but then Casemiro’s red card made it a nervous end to the game.

But United saw the game out to pick up a crucial three points on an afternoon where there were some impressive performances.

Manchester United supporters voted for their man of the match on the club’s official website after the game.

The standings in the vote were…

Lisandro Martinez – 51%
Marcus Rashford – 20%
Bruno Fernandes – 12%

Rashford clearly enjoyed the performance of the man who beat him to the man of the match award, leaving a crown emoji under an official club tweet about the Argentine.

United did not keep a clean sheet but Lisandro was vital to seeing the game out and his partnership with Raphael Varane has been so key this season.

Keeping the pair fit is so important, and Luke Shaw has adjusted well to being back at left-back too, setting up Rashford’s goal.

Next up for United is a clash with bitter rivals Leeds on Wednesday night, when Martinez’s fighting spirit will be much-needed again.
