Mason Greenwood has spoken out for the first time since all criminal charges against him were dropped.
The Manchester United footballer will no longer stand trial, Sky News reported.
Greenwood was suspended by Manchester United after his arrest in January 2022.
He is still registered as a first team player on the club’s official website.

Greenwood speaks out
Mason Greenwood has spoken out for the first time since he was cleared of all charges.
In a statement released to The Sun, he said: “I am relieved that this matter is now over and I would like to thank my family, loved ones and friends for their support. There will be no further comment at this time.”
Greenwood’s future as a Manchester United player is still under review. He is still officially under club suspension.
Manchester United released a statement shortly earlier which read: “Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.
“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”
Greenwood, 21, last played for the club in the win over West Ham last January.
After making his first team debut in 2019, he has played 129 first team games for Manchester United, scoring 35 goals.
