Manchester United may have received a boost over the potential summer signing of Victor Osimhen.
The Serie A top scorer is high on Manchester United’s summer shortlist, ESPN has reported.
Gianluca di Marzio also told Soccernews in January: “Manchester United certainly want to sign him, but there are other clubs who are planning the same.”
Now the striker has added intrigue by admitting his ambition to play in the Premier League.

Osimhen keen on Premier League
Victor Osimhen was quoted by Metro when asked if he wants to play in England’s top flight: “‘I think it is an ambition of all players. And who knows, maybe one day.”
He went on to clarify his full focus is on Napoli as he aims to help the team with the Serie A title, and compete for the Champions League – as you would expect.
Osimhen said: “Right now, I can assure you that it hasn’t even crossed my mind. It would distract me from what has been a beautiful season. Only Napoli. That’s all.”
The Nigerian international has scored in the last eight Serie A games in a row and can equal a record set by David Trezeguet if he makes it nine.
Napoli have lost just one of 24 Serie A matches this season and sit 18 points clear at the top.
Osimhen would likely cost upwards of £100 million in the summer. But the 24-year-old could be worth it.
His comments are telling because he could quite easily have come out and pledged his long-term future to Napoli and said he wants to stay.
Instead he elected to talk only about this current season, while admitting an objective to play in the Premier League.
He would be a dream signing for Manchester United fans, and hopefully a deal can be done in the summer to make both ambitions align.
