According to reports in France, talks have begun between Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United over Neymar.
French newspaper L’Equipe report: “Discussions have been initiated with Premier League clubs, and in particular Manchester United.”
The report insists a summer sale of Neymar ‘is not ruled out by PSG’ in the upcoming transfer window.
BBC Sport reported in 2017 that PSG paid a staggering £200 million to sign Neymar from Barcelona, a world record transfer fee which still stands.

Neymar to Manchester United: Reaction
I would be stunned if Manchester United signed Neymar this summer. This move appears to be being driven by Paris Saint-Germain, rather than United.
If you were in PSG’s situation and trying to sell Neymar, then you would do exactly this; sound out the big clubs capable of paying for the Brazilian.
Except, right now, Manchester United probably cannot afford him, depending on PSG’s asking price. Financial Fair Play may scupper a move, even if United could pay the money.
L’Equipe actually reported last year that PSG were open to selling Neymar, and did not find a buyer.
The Mirror claimed United were willing to pay £200 million to sign Neymar in 2018, however, he left the club last year and this kind of star-chasing galactic transfer strategy has been abandoned.
Brazilian outlet UOL also reported earlier this month that PSG are keen to offload the 31-yar-old forward’s staggering salary.
Pundit Ally McCoist told Talksport earlier this month that Manchester United should Neymar, commenting: “He’s not a good signing for Man United. He’s not a good signing for Chelsea he’s not a good signing for Newcastle.
“I’m not sure it’s a circus but there’s certainly baggage. It might be a circus to be brutally honest the more I think about it. You don’t need all the baggage that comes with it.”
