Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move for Wolfsburg prospect Felix Nmecha.
German outlet Sport1 report Felix Nmecha has caught Manchester United’s eye, with the Red Devils holding talks with his father over a possible switch.
Borussia Dortmund are also interested in 22-year-old, who was formerly in Manchester City’s youth ranks. The Telegraph report Newcastle have also entered the race.

Felix Nmecha playing style
Felix Nmecha is a creative midfielder who plays in the number eight role. He scored three goals and provided five assists in the Bundesliga last season.
A profile on Bundesliga.com provided a lofty comparison, picking out the player he is most stylistically similar to, as Zinedine Zidane.
It reads: “With his considerable strength, excellent close control, nonchalant ball delivery and loping runs, the Wolfsburg No. 22 bears more than a passing resemblance to the legendary Zizou.”
Nmecha made his international debut for Germany in March, although did not make the latest squad.
How Felix Nmecha would fit in
Felix Nmecha would be a younger, more versatile upgrade on Donny van de Beek in Manchester United’s midfield.
The Dutchman is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer having made only six Premier League starts for the club in three seasons.
United are expected to sign Mason Mount, and Nmecha would add further depth, with a very high upside.
This would be a situation where Erik ten Hag has seen Nmecha’s potential, and has belief he can develop him into a top star – rather than buying a ready-made one.
Nmecha would cost only around £13 million, Sport1 report, meaning a move would be a very low-cost gamble.
And of course, if he plays anything like Zinedine Zidane, well, we will have landed a real bargain.
