Teammates urging star to stay amid Manchester United transfer links Saudi Arabia snubbed

Adrien Rabiot is shortly expected to make a decision on his future, amid Manchester United links.

This time next week Adrien Rabiot will be a free agent, with his Juventus contract set to expire.

Juventus went from starting last season with Champions League football, to beginning next season in the Europa Conference League.

This was partly down to a 10-point deduction; but the upshot is, they face a tough challenge to persuade Adrien Rabiot to stay put.

Manchester United have been linked with renewed interest in Adrien Rabiot this summer. French newspaper L’Equipe reported last month that Manchester United have been in touch with Rabiot, even claiming Erik ten Hag has spoken to him.

A new report from The Athletic on Sunday night also claimed Manchester United have made contact with his representatives.

For United, it makes some sense. Signing Rabiot on a free is more cost effective than paying for Marcel Sabitzer.

Rabiot is also coming off the best individual season of his career, netting 11 goals for Juventus.

Juventus teammates want Adrien Rabiot stay

Adrien Rabiot is still undecided on his future. TMW reported a week ago that the midfielder is ‘evaluating his options’, also claiming Manchester United were ‘on pole’.

Tuttosport reported that Juventus have not given up, and would consider making Rabiot a one-year offer, so that he was not locked in, should they fail to reach the Champions League next season.

A new report from Tuttosport confirms Juventus have now made an offer to Rabiot’s agent, his mother.

He has snubbed a move to Saudi Arabia, turning down proposals, it is claimed.

A response is expected in days, and Rabiot’s Juventus teammates are trying to sway him to stay in Turin.

The report claims Rabiot’s teammates are using their WhatsApp chat to try and persuade Rabiot to stick around at Juventus and sign a contract extension.

Tuttosport claim Juventus’ offer is now the ‘most credible’ option and there is optimism he could renew.

While not a top priority for Manchester United, Rabiot would be a savvy addition on a free transfer. But are the club fighting hard enough? We will soon find out.
