Manchester United continue to be linked with a move for Monaco defender Axel Disasi.
One of the more consistent transfer links involving Manchester United over the past few months has been a speculated move for Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi.
Foot Mercato reported a few weeks ago that talks had been held over a move to sign the France international, who featured at the World Cup. Initial talks were held in January, The Mail reported at the time.
Now L’Equipe report Disasi, 25, has made his mind up that he wants to join the Red Devil.

Axel Disasi wants Manchester United
L’Equipe report: “Even if it remains for Monaco and Manchester United to agree on the terms of the transfer, it is on the Mancunian club that the choice of Axel Disasi is for the continuation of his career.”
Disasi is expected to cost around £40 million. But there is one big question around this report.
Is Disasi really first choice defender for United to sign this summer, or is he just being lined up as a back-up?
Put more specifically, what does this mean for Kim Min-Jae, widely reported to be Manchester United’s priority as a replacement for Harry Maguire?
The Guardian report Min-Jae is Manchester United’s top choice. The Napoli defender has a release clause in his contract with United can activate on July 1.
United certainly don’t need to sign two centre-backs, unless Victor Lindelof decides to push for an exit too in pursuit of first team football.
Axel Disasi is a big talent, and like many players, is attracted by joining Erik ten Hag‘s United. But he could be left disappointed, simply being lined up as Manchester United’s ‘plan B’.
