Manchester United’s deal to sign Mason Mount has been given a glowing review by ex-United midfielder Nicky Butt.
The deal for Mount was completed on Tuesday, with the Englishman getting stuck straight in having already been seen in training.
The 24-year-old signed a five-year deal with the club having the option for a sixth should they want it.
It has been seen in the first videos coming out that Mount is delighted with the move to Old Trafford.
One video surfaced shows Mount and his father, with the two remarking on how “special” it is to be at Old Trafford.
Mount also put his supposed beef with Lisandro Martinez behind him as the two embraced, Martinez then proudly exclaimed “Before we fight with each other, now we love each other.”
It has been a positive week all round for Mount following his move, with Butt, who was a member of the class of 92′ adding to the good vibes.

Mount move gets a glowing review
Speaking with Sky Sports News Butt raved about Erik ten Hag’s new midfielder saying, “I think he’s a very good player,
“As a manager, you want to bring as many good players as you can into your squad.”
Butt then continued to discuss the versatility of Mount will be a positive for United.
“They work out over the season where they might be playing. It might be as a 10, it might be off the left or the right but good players always get into the team.”
Finally Butt added some more praise onto the Champions League winner, saying he is good both on and off the pitch.
“He’s a very good player, I have watched him closely a few times. He is a very talented boy, English and young and he seems like a good lad as well. I think it’s a good signing for Manchester United.”
While ten Hag doesn’t need anyones approval, it will be nice to hear his marquee signing get the seal of approval from another ex-United star.
