Step forward in race for Amrabat
Sofyan Amrabat has been touted for a transfer move to Manchester United for several weeks.
However, the club have essentially kept the potential deal on hold, and waited, for reasons not totally clear.
It was assumed that United had simply run out of funds and had been waiting to sell players. But the sales of Anthony Elanga and Fred did not lead to an immediate bid.
All this led many fans and observers to wonder whether United wanted Amrabat at all.
Well, a solution does appear to be moving forward, and it is long overdue. Both Manchester United and Fiorentina need this situation resolved.
Amrabat available for transfer
Di Marzio reports Amrabat is available to leave Fiorentina. The two clubs simply need to agree a fee.
Manchester United’s need for a new midfielder has been highlighted in the opening two games of the season, while the transfer deadline is next Friday.
It is time for United to get a move on, and try and tie up a deal. Fiorentina would rather sell quickly, to give them time to sign a replacement.
Amrabat is currently not in Fiorentina’s plans, he did not play in their Europa Conference League qualifier on Thursday night.
