Manchester United have been linked with a move for Sofyan Amrabat for the past two months.
The way Manchester United have been dragging their heels over a move for Sofyan Amrabat has been no good for anybody.
But it is arguably worse for Fiorentina than United, with the midfielder currently training alone, while they wait on a bid which hasn’t arrived, he is in effect, unusable.
Now there is a new potential twist, with Fiorentina willing to consider another avenue to resolve the situation before deadline.

Amrabat loan to be considered
New reports from Italy claim Fiorentina are now ready to consider a loan deal to allow Amrabat to leave.
Fiorentina.it reports citing Corriere dello Sport that given the lack of firm transfer bids for Amrabat, they are prepared to sanction a loan.
There are two conditions. One involved Amrabat first agreeing a one year contract extension to 2025, because his current deal expires in 2024, and Fiorentina don’t want to set themselves up to lose him for free.
The second is for a purchase clause to be added into the loan. It is unclear whether this would be an obligation to buy, or an optional one, or dependent on games played.
May suit Manchester United
This apparent change of stance from Fiorentina may mean Manchester United’s stance of hanging on until the last minute might actually pay off, even if this wasn’t intended.
United could loan Amrabat now, deferring a permanent purchase to next summer, which may suit the FFP restrictions better.
The sale of Dean Henderson may provide United with enough funds to do the deal for Amrabat in any case, but he is not the only player required.
A new left-back, an extra midfielder and even another striker might all be areas United consider adding players.
A cheap loan for Amrabat would help other deals, and would be a total steal for the Morocco international if United can pull it off.
