Report: Premier League club 'make contact' with United to sign £45m ace

Manchester United are in the midst of a really busy last few days of the window as Scott McTominay could be on his way out.

Manchester United are set for a hectic final day of the transfer window with multiple incomings and outgoings expected.

One man who could end up being the clubs biggest outgoing of the summer, Scott McTominay is the subject of interest once again.

It had seemed like McTominay was due to remain at Old Trafford when Bayern Munich decided against making a move.

However there is a new interested party, who could have the finances to pay the £45million United are requesting for him.

Fulham make contact over McTominay move

According to Sky Sports, fellow Premier League side Fulham are the club who have made initial contacts over a potential move for McTominay.

This comes in the wake of Bayern Munich’s interest in Joao Palhinha which has left Fulham searching for options.

It is thought the player is pushing for a move to Germany which could open up a good few millions for Fulham to spend on a replacement.

United are expected to request £45million for the Scottish midfielder and have shown they won’t accept lower bids when they rejected West Ham’s £30m bid earlier this window.

Should United sell at this stage

If given the chance, with the asking price met, United shouldn’t hesitate to let McTominay go to Fulham.

He is clearly out in the cold under Erik ten Hag and likely wouldn’t feature much anyway.

Even with injuries it is hard pressed to imagine him starting, with youngsters Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore and Hannibal Mejbri all in Ten Hag’s good books.

It would also open the door for United to finally complete the signing of Sofyan Amrabat and potentially more in the last breaths of the window.
