Manchester United moved quickly to reassure Rasmus Hojlund after discovering his injury during his medical.
The Mail reported that Manchester United were stunned to discover Rasmus Hojlund had a stress hotspot in his back, during his medical.
The fear in the moment, for Hojlund, may have been that the discovery could have scuppered his dream transfer entirely.
The £64 million move went ahead as planned, with Hojlund going straight into the treatment room rather than the first team.

Manchester United message to Hojlund
The Mail reported that Manchester United made the move to tell Hojlund he will get time to work on his fitness and that the club will not rush him back.
This is despite a lack of other strikers, with teammate Anthony Martial himself working his way back from a hamstring injury.
The Mail report: “United’s initial response to last week’s MRI has been to give Hojlund more time to improve his fitness and to reassure the player that he is a long-term signing and will not be rushed into the team.”
Hojlund’s debut will have to wait. United’s official statement on the striker said that he is ‘recovering well’, however, he still faces ‘a few weeks’ on the sidelines.
When he does return, he will be managed cautiously. With Martial also being treated with kid gloves, it is worth wondering if another striker will be brought in.
One who certainly won’t, is former loanee Wout Weghorst, who is on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign for Hoffenheim.
