Erik ten Hag now have an opportunity to release an absolutely deadly duo against Brighton.
It’s all been a bit doom and gloom as of late at Manchester United. We had the whole Mason Greenwood situation, now the Antony situation and a Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag fallout.
Combined with a plethora of injuries and a shaky start to the season – it really has been a tough few weeks as a Red Devils fan.
However, there are things to still be excited about despite all the turmoil. We believe one of them is the potential duo that could be released next Saturday.

Rasmus Hojlund and Facundo Pellistri = an unstoppable duo
With the right winger situation looking little more than unstable at the moment, this is the ideal opportunity for Erik ten Hag to deploy Facundo Pellistri on the right-hand side.
The Uruguayan has been starved for game time during his tenure at Old Trafford, but always seems to look really bright when given an opportunity.
The other player who will obtain his first start of the season will be Rasmus Hojlund. He also looked bright against Arsenal during his brief cameo, and will no doubt be leading the line for the Red Devils throughout the entirety of the 23/24 season.
Individually as players, we think they’re brilliant – but together we believe they could be an unstoppable duo.
They compliment each other perfectly
Pellstri’s trademark is beating a man, getting to the byline, gaining an extra yard of space on the defender and feeding crosses into dangerous areas.
In the past, United have had no one to gamble on these types of cross… but now step up Rasmus Hojlund. The majority of the Danes’ goals are obtained from positions like this.
We can envision Pellstri drilling one in low against the Seagulls and Hojlund providing a one-touch finish to send Old Trafford into a state of ecstasy.
It’s such a simple method of scoring, but it’s so effective if you’ve got two players who are masters at each bit of the process – which we believe Hojlund and Pellistri are.
If they can link up like this, they will score a handful of goals – and really could prove unstoppable.
