Manchester United left it very late against Fulham with a dramatic injury-time winner, and now Edwin Van Der Sar and Gary Lineker have reacted.
A pretty slow game which saw both Manchester United and Fulham fail to really create much to trouble their opponents. However, it was decided late on as Bruno Fernandes made it 1-0 from outside the box, and secured the win for United.
Three points for Erik ten Hag and his United side at a really crucial point in the season. The win will hopefully be a huge catalyst ahead of the upcoming must-win against Copenhagen in the Champions League.
Following the win, multiple footballing greats have reacted to the dramatic victory for United.
Edwin van der Sar and Gary Lineker react to United win
Taking to X after Manchester United’s dramatic win against Fulham, club legend Edwin van der Sar posted his reaction.
“Though injury time loss for @FulhamFC and this game had a draw written all over! Quality finish from the captain and three points for @ManUtd.”
Edwin wasn’t the only one reacting either, with Gary Lineker also posting on X.
“That’s a very important goal for @ManUtd and especially, I suspect, for Erik ten Hag.”
Ten Hag wins it late again
Fergie Time will soon become Ten Hag time at this rate, with the last three wins all coming in dramatic fashion.
Against Brentford before the last international break, two added-time Scott McTominay goals won the game for United.
Then against Sheffield, another late winner, with Diogo Dalot’s wonderous strike saving the day that time.
Then today with Fernandes’ winner, late and dramatic seem to be the order of the season for Ten Hag.
