Manchester United predicted XI v Fulham: £150k-per-week star to play, Dalot dropped

Manchester United are once again staring three consecutive defeats in the face as they play Fulham on Saturday, here’s our predicted XI.

After three wins on the bounce, hopes were high at Old Trafford that some form was being built. But now, two defeats in less than a week could turn into three at Craven Cottage.

Erik ten Hag will be desperate for three points here and will field the strongest line-up he can to do so. However, that won’t include Casemiro was has been ruled out for what the club have said ‘several months’.

United will also be without Victor Lindelof who Ten Hag says is ill. However, the return of Raphael Varane will be a huge boost.

So with that in mind, how will United line up against Fulham? Here is our prediction…

Manchester United’s predicted lineup

So, a must-win game after consecutive losses, we’ve been here before this season and often that leads to a win. But in order to do so, a strong lineup is needed.

Therefore, Andre Onana starts in goal and will be extremely thankful for the return of one man in particular.

That being Varane who we see starting at centre-half next to Harry Maguire. The duo are incredibly successful together and should be a massive upgrade on recent pairings.

At right-back which is an area of concern for United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka should return to take the place of Diogo Dalot. While on the left, the only real option is Sergio Reguilon.

Moving into midfield, with Casemiro out, Sofyan Amrabat is a shoo-in but next to him we see Christian Eriksen starting in order to justify his £150k-per-week wage. This duo are good on the ball and should give us added security in possession.

Ahead of those two should be Bruno Fernandes who needs to improve himself and start putting in captain-worthy contributions.

In attack, Marcus Rashford and Antony will start on the wings with both probably on last chance saloon, as the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo are all more deserving of a run in the team.

Up-front will be Rasmus Hojlund who has been one of the very few positives for United this season.
