3-4-3: Manchester United predicted XI vs Everton, Amorim makes two changes as Amad starts

No rest for Manchester United as the fixtures are beginning to come thick and fast for Ruben Amorim as Everton prepare to visit Old Trafford.

Due to playing Thursday night, Ruben Amorim won’t get a full training session in before Sunday’s kick-off against Everton.

However, the new Manchester United head coach will have learned plenty from the 3-2 win vs Bodo/Glimt.

In particular, the second-half performance would have pleased Amorim as United were completely dominant and the third goal scored was a brilliant team move that will be exactly what Amorim wants to see more of going forward.

It is still early days of Amorim’s reign as head coach and plenty of positions are up for grabs against Everton, as we are sure there will be some rotation as well.

How will Manchester United line-up against Everton

With a quick turnaround, chances are Amorim will have the same team available as he did against Bodo/Glimt. However, Everton presents a tough task for United, while the game against Arsenal will also be on the mind.

So, here is our predicted XI to take on the Toffees.

Andre Onana

One of United’s top performers this season has been Andre Onana, and he has already impressed Amorim. Now, he’ll be looking for his first clean sheet under the Portuguese coach in a bid to continue his Golden Glove form.

Noussair Mazraoui

The standout of Amorim’s reign thus far has been Noussair Mazraoui. After back-to-back standout displays as a central defender, Mazraoui is almost undroppable for the head coach.

Matthijs de Ligt

In the central centre-back position, Matthijs de Ligt should start as there is still a lack of options in central defence. He was withdrawn early against Bodo/Glimt so should be more than ready to face Everton.

Lisandro Martinez

Completing the back three, Lisandro Martinez should be in line to start again, making the defence unchanged. The Argentine completed 100% of his passes on Thursday while also winning all of his duels in a dominant showing under Amorim.

Amad Diallo

Starting as the right wing-back against Everton, we expect will be Amad Diallo after he was rested midweek. Amad was impressive against Ipswich and seems established as the starting wing-back right now.

Manuel Ugarte

Manuel Ugarte had his best game yet on Thursday and with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen struggling against Ipswich we expect he will start again against Everton. Having not played a great deal since his arrival, a run of games would do Ugarte a world of good.

Bruno Fernandes

Partnering Ugarte in midfield could be one of a number of players. But with Kobbie Mainoo seemingly not fit enough to play yet, Bruno Fernandes gets our vote after he impressed Amorim in the role against Bodo/Glimt.

Diogo Dalot

On the left, we predict that Diogo Dalot will continue to play here with Tyrell Malacia failing to impress midweek. Amorim wants to use Dalot on the right, but for now, he’ll stay on the left.

Mason Mount

With Bruno further back, the right inside forward role is open for Mason Mount to start after he impressed Amorim in the Europa League.

Rasmus Hojlund

One positional debate which may have been settled midweek was who should be the starting striker. After a brace and all-around impressive display against Bodo, Rasmus Hojlund is in line to start over Marcus Rashford.

Alejandro Garnacho

After a goal midweek, Alejandro Garnacho is likely in line to start for United again on Sunday. Amorim will be hoping for a better all-around display though.
