Man United fans in total agreement about Marcus Rashford vs Plzen, transfer stance is clear

Marcus Rashford returned to Manchester United’s starting lineup for the Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen.

Ruben Amorim continued his rotation policy at Manchester United with five changes made to the lineup that lost 3-2 to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The Red Devils maintained their unbeaten record in the Europa League after coming from behind to win 2-1 against Viktoria Plzen.

Marcus Rashford was recalled as a starter and played on the left of the front three just behind Joshua Zirkzee.

Now a month in, Amorim is learning his strongest XI at United, and Rashford starting against Plzen suggests he may return to the bench for this weekend’s blockbuster Manchester derby.

Man United open to selling Marcus Rashford

Rashford headed into Thursday’s clash against Plzen with a point to prove after multiple reports this week that United are open to offers for Rashford.

Ahead of the January transfer window, United have made it clear that he is not unsellable with Rashford’s price tag set at just £40m.

Rashford’s body language has been slammed this season after he has often looked uninterested in games.

United lacked creativity against Plzen early on and Rashford was withdrawn after 55 minutes having failed to take a single shot. He lost possession 10 times and picked up a yellow card before being replaced by Rasmus Hojlund.

Man United fans react to Marcus Rashford display vs Plzen

Rashford’s display was a hot topic on social media with United supporters far from impressed with what they saw from the 27-year-old.

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, slammed Rashford’s performance with many suggesting he should be sold.

One fan wrote: “Man United should just sell Rashford. His confidence is gone and he can’t improve anymore”.

A second added: “We might as well sell Rashford in the January transfer window and invest in our attack ASAP cause what’s the point in keeping him until the end of the season? For vibes?”

It was a poor performance overall by United, but fans singled out Rashford: “I know the whole team is playing bad but why does Rashford look so disinterested. It’s like he is not even trying. This is difficult to watch.”

Another supporter added: “Can’t keep making excuses for Rashford, he’s so lifeless. At least you can tell Zirkzee and Amad are on the pitch”

Finally, one supporter urged United to snap up a £40m deal for Rashford: “Honestly, if we manage to get 40m for Marcus Rashford, then it will be the greatest piece of business we have done in recent years”
