Man Utd fans all saying same thing about Joshua Zirkzee after performance vs Ipswich, major ‘revelation’ is spotted

Manchester United fans dropped a clear-cut reaction to Joshua Zirkzee’s performance against Ipswich Town in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils picked up an important point on Saturday after a 2-2 Premier League comeback draw against David Moyes’ Everton side at Goodison Park.

Manchester United returned to action on Wednesday evening against Premier League strugglers Ipswich Town and the Red Devils showed vulnerabilities again.

Ruben Amorim’s men were placed on the back foot in the opening five minutes after a complete miscommunication between Patrick Dorgu and Andre Onana.

Patrick Dorgu played his back pass past an advancing Onana and Jaden Philogene pounced on the opportunity and slotted the ball into the empty United net.

United fought back and found an equaliser in the 22nd minute after Ipswich’s Sam Morsy put the ball into the back of his own net from a Bruno Fernandes free-kick.

The Red Devils built on their momentum and United took the lead only four minutes later after Matthijs de Ligt slotted the ball past Alex Palmer from close range.

However, Patrick Dorgu’s first-half display took another ugly turn after he received a straight red card in the 43rd minute before Ipswich hit back against United.

Kieran McKenna’s men took a 2-2 scoreline into the break at Old Trafford after Jaden Philogene completed his brace against United in first-half injury time.

Philogene put in an attempted cross looking for Liam Delap and the ball bounced past the Ipswich forward and Onana before landing in the back of the United net.

Man Utd fans react to Zirkzee vs Ipswich

Manchester United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about Joshua Zirkzee’s performance against Ipswich Town.

Red Devils supporters praised Zirkzee’s display as a No 10 in Wednesday evening’s clash and he was praised for “demonstrating the fight” needed from players.

“Zirkzee at [No] 10 is a revelation,” one fan simply said.

Another X user wrote: “There’s a player in Zirkzee. His control, touch and hold-up play [are] excellent. Needs to adjust fully to this league and speed, but there’s definitely a quality player there.”

Someone else tweeted: “Zirkzee hold-up play is brilliant with a man down. Pity he keeps running at fellas with no support with him, just hold the ball and draw the foul, man.”

“I see a player in Zirkzee, man, good vision and hold-up play,” a fourth posted.

While a fifth claimed: “Zirkzee is really growing on me; there is a player in there somewhere.”

Somebody else added: “The pace and intensity that was non-existent in Zirkzee at the beginning of the season has [surfaced] from thin air. More of [this] please.”

And a seventh wrote: “Zirkzee’s movement [in] the last few games has been really, really good. I know everything is terrible right now, but he’s one of the players demonstrating the fight.”

An eighth supporter suggested: “Zirkzee will be a serious player in a proper team. He’s been class tonight.”

Man Utd and Amorim look ahead to FA Cup

Manchester United will now turn their attention away from the Premier League and towards their FA Cup title defence, with the Red Devils in action on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim’s men will welcome Fulham to Old Trafford on the weekend, with kick-off slated for 4:30pm UK time for the fifth-round FA Cup tie.

United punched their ticket to the fifth round of the FA Cup after their 2-1 comeback win against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City at Old Trafford earlier this month.

Amorim’s side began their FA Cup title defence last month and 10-man United defeated Premier League rivals Arsenal in a penalty shootout at the Emirates.
