Manchester United fans could not hold back their reactions towards Ayden Heaven after his performance against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Ruben Amorim’s men returned to Premier League action on Sunday evening only days after Manchester United’s win over Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
United hosted Real Sociedad at Old Trafford on Thursday evening for their second-leg last-16 tie and the Red Devils thumped the Spanish club 4-1 on the night.
A sensational Bruno Fernandes hat-trick ensured the thumping win for the Red Devils and United punched their ticket to the Europa League quarter-finals.
Ruben Amorim’s side will now face Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Europa League — across two separate matches — in April.
The current Europa League campaign is the 40-year-old United manager’s best hope of securing Champions League football for the 2025-26 season.
United are currently on course for their worst league finish in the Premier League era amid a hit-and-miss run of form in the 2024-25 campaign.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has faced his own uphill battle with Premier League strugglers the Foxes ahead of hosting former side United at the King Power Stadium.

Man Utd fans react to Ayden Heaven’s display vs Leicester City at the King Power Stadium
Ayden Heaven secured his place in the starting XI for Manchester United and stood out with his first-half performance at the King Power Stadium.
The 18-year-old former Arsenal talent has impressed since his arrival at Old Trafford and Heaven has already broken into the United first team under Ruben Amorim.
Joining United’s youth academy in February, Heaven has already been elevated to senior level and has taken his chances for the Red Devils in the 2024-25 season.
The United defender made his first Red Devils start on Thursday evening and Heaven showed his class with his performance against Real Sociedad.
United fans on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, were devested after Heaven was stretchered off only minutes into the second half against Leicester City.
Toby Collyer came on in place for Heaven and Red Devils supporters felt that the centre-back put in a “massive” performance before his devastating injury.
One X user wrote: “Just when Heaven was having such a class performance. United really is cursed.”
“Heaven was having a Man of the Match-type performance and now this,” another posted.
A third United fan said: “Massive performance for Heaven and [he] was looking good. So unlucky, so, so unlucky. Prayers up it’s not a huge injury.”
Somebody else commented: “Heaven off on a stretcher on a MOTM performance as well. Just awful.”
“Ayden Heaven, this injury won’t make me forget your performance,” a fifth added.
Another claimed: “I really hope [the] Heaven injury isn’t as serious as it seems. He’s honestly perfect profile-wise and is sound technically, too. Another top performance from him today.”
While a seventh Red Devils fan wrote: “Gutted for Ayden Heaven, thought he was fantastic, to see such a young player get stretchered off is a hard watch. Put in such a solid performance, [he] was very composed in possession. Had that awareness and in the space as well to go and close it down. Hopefully, [it’s] not overly serious.”
And an eighth United supporter claimed: “We are so cursed, man, Heaven puts in a MOTM performance and then comes off with an injury.”
What happened in Man Utd vs Leicester City in the Premier League?
United arrived at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening and Ruben Amorim’s men took control of the Premier League match in the first half.
The Red Devils took the lead in the 28th minute and Rasmus Hojlund broke the deadlock for United and the striker finally ended his goalscoring drought.
Bruno Fernandes played Rasmus Hojlund through with a superb ball past the Leicester City backline and the Danish forward fired his strike in the bottom corner.
Hojlund had endured a rough period in the final third in recent months and the 22-year-old United and Denmark striker had been on a 21-match goalscoring drought.
United took a 1-0 lead into half-time before Amorim’s men extended their lead in the second half after Fernandes set up Alejandro Garnacho for the Red Devils’ second.
The Red Devils ensured all three points against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men after Fernandes netted United’s third at the King Power in the 90th minute.
