Ruben Amorim has been told that a Manchester United star showed his weakness while “under pressure” in the Red Devils’ clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Manchester United hosted Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday evening and both sides walked away with a point at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim’s men took the lead ahead of half-time after Bruno Fernandes dispatched a stunning free-kick past Arsenal shot-stopper David Raya.
Arsenal fought back against United in the second half and the Gunners pulled level thanks to Declan Rice’s strike in the 74th minute of the Premier League clash.
United were unable to restore their lead over the Gunners, despite Amorim’s side having clear-cut chances to snatch all three Premier League points.
Arsenal still have a match in hand over Premier League leaders Liverpool, but the Reds are 15 points clear of the Gunners with only nine league matches left.
United, on the other hand, are 14th in the Premier League table after the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw against Mikel Arteta’s men at Old Trafford on the weekend.

Gordon Hill agrees with Man Utd fan over Andre Onana’s struggles vs Arsenal
Manchester United are 15 points adrift from the Premier League top four, with the Red Devils only managing nine league wins from 28 matches this season.
Ruben Amorim’s side are level on points with 13th-place Tottenham and United are now comfortably 17 points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
Andre Onana was unable to keep a clean sheet against Arsenal in Sunday’s 1-1 draw, but the United shot-stopper did look shaky at times against the Gunners.
The 28-year-old United No 1 has faced heavy criticism in recent months after his form took a turn for the worse, despite starting off the season in strong form.
One United fan called Andre Onana an “absolute liability” against Arsenal and former Red Devils player Gordon Hill agreed with the scathing assessment of the player.
“Yes agree, very shaky under pressure,” he wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
In a separate tweet on X, Gordon Hill wrote about United’s performance: “At least today [there] was signs of wanting it.”
Ruben Amorim explains why Man Utd did not beat Arsenal
Speaking after the Premier League match, Ruben Amorim admitted that David Raya “did really well” to keep Arsenal in the contest after United’s attack at Old Trafford.
“If you look at the chances and then look at the game, Arsenal had more possession, but we try to play the game in a low block,” he said at his post-match press conference.
“So, it’s hard to say that we deserve it as Arsenal also tried to win the game. But, if you look at the chances, I think we were quite close to winning the game.
“David Raya did really well to defend his goal and, sometimes, if the ball is 10 centimetres a little bit to the side, it can change a game.
“We were waiting for a mistake from the opponents, but we tried to win the game. We tried to find a way to beat a very good team and showed that today.”
Real Sociedad will now arrive at Old Trafford on Thursday evening for their second-leg last-16 Europa League tie against United.
United and Real Sociedad played a 1-1 Europa League draw at the Reale Arena in the first-leg round-of-16 match last Thursday.
