Manchester United fans wasted no time instantly sharing their two cents on Kobbie Mainoo’s display against Grimsby Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils kicked off their 2025-26 Carabao Cup campaign on Wednesday evening, with Grimsby Town hosting Manchester United at Blundell Park.
Ruben Amorim finally made the decision to thrust Kobbie Mainoo back into the starting XI after the 20-year-old United midfielder’s future was plunged into doubt.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, made their feelings perfectly clear that Mainoo was a standout performer against Grimsby Town.
One United fan said: “Almost as if Mainoo is a quality player and one of the best in our squad.”
