Louie Bradbury compares Man Utd teammate to Roy Keane after impressive two-goal performance

Louie Bradbury was among the goals again on Tuesday as Manchester United U18s beat West Brom, but he’s been even more impressed by one teammate.

The first-team weren’t the only ones playing on Tuesday as Manchester United’s U18 side beat West Brom in the U18 Premier League Cup.

United won 4-3 in a dramatic quarter-final, with the most noteworthy aspect of the game being JJ Gabriel’s sending off after two assists.

Louie Bradbury continued his immaculate goal scoring form, while his midfield teammate also grabbed a brace, leading to plenty of praise.

In this win to progress to the semi-finals, Bradbury’s brace was matched by United’s young midfield talent Jay McEvoy.

McEvoy has previously been compared with Xavi, but after his performance here it was another name he was being likened to.

After the game, McEvoy posted on Instagram a photo of him knee-sliding in celebration, while captioned it, “2 goals onto the semis”.

In the responses to the post, Bradbury was one to comment as he left a GIF which had Roy Keane while he was playing for United, clearly comparing the pair.

James Overy said, “Yes bro”. While Jayden Ngwashi added a GIF of a dart hitting the bullseye.

Meanwhile Yuel Helafu added, “Toppp”.

But it was Bradbury’s reply that was the most noteworthy.

Jay McEvoy is one of three who could be Manchester United’s next Irish midfielder

While exciting, the comparisons with Keane likely begin and end at McEvoy being a future Irish international, and in this regard he isn’t alone.

Jacob Devaney is another top midfielder who could star for United in the future, and also Ireland. While a third would be Rafe McCormack, who looks like the club’s current standout number six prospect.

All three will likely get the Keane tag if they break through into the first-team given United haven’t had many other Irish internationals in recent years.

McEvoy is currently having an impressive season for the U18s, adding goals to his game, and for United, the next step will be seeing him do it regularly.
