Man Utd’s next opponents Tottenham suffer another injury scare ahead of Old Trafford showdown

Manchester United’s next opponents Tottenham Hotspur have not made it through the international break unscathed either.

When club football finally resumes, Manchester United will be up against one of the few Premier League teams to start with a worse record than we have.

Tottenham have failed to a win a single match, and head to Old Trafford looking to get their season up and running, while United have only been marginally better.

The international break has made the task of their manager Roberto de Zerbi a little tougher.

Micky van de Ven injured

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven suffered an injury during the Netherlands’ 2-1 international win over Serbia.

Van de Ven was forced to leave the pitch in the closing minutes and could not be substitutes because the Netherlands had made all of their permitted changes.

The defender sustained an injured wrist when Luka Jovic landed on top of him, Voetbal International reported.

Tottenham had previously seen Jan Paul van Hecke leave the Netherlands international camp after suffering a foot injury..

While it’s possible Van de Ven may make a full recovery for next week, Van Hecke is expected to miss the game.

Manchester United have a few injury issues to clear up of our own. Noussair Mazraoui missed Morocco’s latest game with Mali, while Patrick Dorgu had to leave the Denmark camp with a suspected hamstring injury.
