Manchester United have been linked with a move for rising star Cher Ndour, with The Mirror reporting the club are in pursuit of his signature.
Ndour, 18, is also said to be a transfer target for Juventus, and United’s interest will likely alert other clubs.

Who is Cher Ndour
Cher Ndour plays for Benfica’s B team and became their youngest ever player at 16, narrowly beating a record held by Joao Felix. At 17, he became their youngest ever goalscorer.
Ndour began his career in Brescia’s youth system, before joining Bergamo, and then later Atalanta. He then switched to Benfica in 2021.
He has made 18 appearances for Benfica B this season, scoring three goals. Five of these appearances came in the UEFA Youth League, which included a 3-2 win over PSG.
Ndour is a central midfielder who stands out due to his height. He has a direct style, always eager to pass forward, and is an eager tackler.
Speaking about his choice to sign with Benfica, he told Transfermarkt: “Benfica is one of the clubs that increasingly relies on young players. Knowing that there is this opportunity, I want to try to get into the first team quickly.”
He has made 78 appearances at youth level in all competitions for Benfica, but is yet to make his first team debut.

Ndour is an Italy youth international. He first represented his country at under-14 level, and was capped by the Azzurri under-20 side earlier this season.
He is also eligible to play international football at senior level with Senegal.

This is the type of low-risk deal Manchester United should be considering, bringing in a top European talent with high potential. As he is 18, United are able to bring him in.
Ndour has excellent pedigree, he is a record-breaking talent at a top European club, he is a youth international for a major country, and he is a UEFA Youth League winner.
While it would be a little better if he had some first team experience, United can develop him in-house. The club already have a strong group of talented young midfielders, but adding one as talented as Ndour would be a smart move.
