Manchester United are still open to making signings before the transfer deadline, reports The Mail.
Erik ten Hag is said to want to strengthen his attacking options, with concerns whether Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri can contribute meaningfully in the Premier League.
There are options to loan out both players before the end of the month, but United would only consider this if a replacement can be brought in.
United are restricted to loan deals, with major permanent transfers on hold until a takeover is completed. So with time running out, who could United target?

Marcus Thuram
First linked to Manchester United a month ago via SportBild, Borussia Moenchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram could fill the void often created by frequently injured Anthony Martial.
Thuram’s contract at ‘Gladbach is set to expire in the summer. United could offer the German side a small transfer fee and attempt to close a deal, which for them, is surely better than losing him on a free.
Fabrizio Romano wrote in his column that Thuram is keen on a move to the Premier League. The forward has scored 13 goals already this season and could come in and make an immediate impact at United.
Jesper Karlsson
Erik ten Hag has sent Manchester United’s scouts to check on Eredivisie talents, report The Sun, with Jesper Karlsson named as one of the players being assessed.
Karlsson, 24, is a winger who is more experienced than both Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri, and he may be more ‘ready now’ to come in and contribute.
United could attempt a loan move, with a pledge to buy in the summer if he plays a certain amount of matches, once a takeover is approved, if a permanent deal cannot be done now.

Youri Tielemans
Signing another forward would be nice, but midfield might actually be a bigger priority after Donny van de Beek’s season ending injury.
Youri Tielemans is expected to be available at a knockdown price, with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Manchester United should pay close attention to the Belgian’s situation. His experience could be useful down the stretch run of the season.
The Express have linked United with a move for Tielemans, and if the finances can be made to work, this could be a ‘win win’ for player and club, with the midfielder finally landing his dream move.
Ryan Gravenberch
The Dutch midfielder played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, handed his debut by the manager, and was a key part of his team.
Last summer he made the career-changing move to Bayern Munich, and has struggled to make an impact.
He was an unused substitute in Bayern’s match at the weekend, and has not been selected to start a single Bundesliga game all season.
Even if it does not lead to a permanent move, a loan switch to rejoin Ten Hag could turn out to be exactly what he needs, temporarily strengthening United’s midfield.
Mohamed Kudus
Ambitious considering his importance to the Ajax team, Kudus is another player who has worked under Ten Hag before.
90Min reported at the start of January that United had held talks over moving for Kudus, with a loan-to-buy deal mooted.
This could be a very clever deal if United could pull it off, but Ajax may not want to let another key star leave for Old Trafford, especially without an up front fee.
Perhaps sending Elanga or Pellistri to Ajax on loan could sweeten the deal.
