Manchester United goalkeeper Tom Heaton has revealed who he believes to be the best finisher at the club this season.
The Englishman, who is currently out injured for United, believes that French forward Anthony Martial is the best finisher at the club.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Heaton believes the Frenchman, who has been linked with a move away from the club this summer, is the best finisher.
The former Burnley goalkeeper has also given the name he thinks is the best header of the ball, but his answer may not surprise you.

‘He’s got that composure’
Heaton, who will have had to face a fair amount of the Frenchman’s shots, believes the former AS Monaco man is the supreme finisher in the team.
“For me it would probably be Anthony Martial: he can bend it, he can whip it, he can go with power, he can lift it over you,” Heaton said on the club’s website.
“He’s got that composure, that sort of calmness in front of goal that makes it difficult for a goalkeeper.
[As a keeper] you very often want people to take a shot early or to force them into something but with Anthony, it’s very difficult to affect him, so when he’s through on goal it usually ends up in the net.”

Perhaps less surprisingly, Heaton believes that Harry Maguire, who has also been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, is the best when it comes to balls in the air.
“I think Harry beats most players in the air and he’s good at getting on the end of set-pieces from crosses. Arguably with how good he is, I would be pushing him to score more goals.”
Heaton is correct in that assessment, since Maguire joined the club back in 2019, he has only scored four headed goals in all competitions which, for a player so good in the air, is not good enough.
