Victor Osimhen shows clear way forward for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United

Jadon Sancho faces a bleak future at Manchester United unless he apologises to manager Erik ten Hag.

It is now 12 days since Manchester United issued a statement confirming Jadon Sancho will be training away from the first team.

It came after a clash with Erik ten Hag where the winger used social media to deny he had been training poorly, after the manager had explained it as a reason for Sancho’s absence from the squad against Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday there is only one way back for Sancho. He told the United Stand YouTube channel: “The situation between Jadon Sancho and the staff is still tense. Not just Erik ten Hag, because other people are unhappy with his attitude. The only way back, in Erik ten Hag‘s eyes, for Jadon Sancho is to apologise to him, the rest of the coaches and the players.”

Victor Osimhen shows way forward

‘Sorry’ seems to be the hardest word for Jadon Sancho, who believes he is in the right and will not back down.

It’s a self-defeating mood, especially with an easier path to regular football amid Antony’s current absence due to legal issues.

Over in Italy, Victor Osimhen was involved in a very public blow-up with his Napoli manager. Goal reported how he was seen arguing and gesturing towards Rudi Garcia after he was substituted off, and faced being hit with a club fine.

Fabrizio Romano reports Osimhen has now put pride to one side and apologised to to his manager and his teammates.

He explained: “His message to the Napoli squad today was positive — and it was to react after the draw. Osimhen always wants to win games — that’s why he spoke to Garcia after being subbed off vs Bologna. Positive, strong message to the team as leader once again.”

The matter is now considered closed at Napoli. Osimhen has voiced his opinion, apologised and moved on.

Jadon Sancho should take note. He could have resolved this quickly during the international break with a swift apology to his manager. Instead the situation has festered and grown into an even bigger problem.

PFA tries to intervene

According to The Times, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) have tried offered to help to try and resolve the situation between Sancho and Ten Hag.

The PFA have been in touch with both Sancho and United, however, there has been no resolution and he will not be in the squad to face Crystal Palace tonight as the stand-off continues.
