'In discussions': Manchester United holding talks to extend deal for under-21 attacker with 6 goals in 6 games

Manchester United are holding talks to extend promising winger Omari Forson’s contract.

Omari Forson has been in prolific form for Manchester United’s academy sides this season, scoring six goals in six games.

He also has a further two assists, with Omari Forson netting for the under-21s, and in the UEFA Youth League.

The Mail report Manchester United are ‘in discussions’ with Forson over a new contract.

Omari Forson contract

Omari Forson’s current contract at Manchester United runs until June 2024, so there is some time pressure on the Red Devils to get him signed up to a new contract.

If there was any doubt over Forson deserving a new deal, the winger has responded superbly this season with his form.

The report claims talks are underway with Forson, an indication Manchester United have now expressed a desire to get him to commit his future to the club.

Forson joined Manchester United from Tottenham’s academy in 2019, and he has kicked on from under-18s regular to under-21s, and is now beginning to push for the first team.

Omari Forson making progress

Omari Forson featured for the first team in pre-season, playing in six out of the eight games.

Erik ten Hag took an interest in his development, and Forson has trained with the first team in recent weeks too.

Forson was on the bench in the Champions League away at Bayern Munich, a sign he is not too far away.

A loan move may be possible for Forson in the January transfer window. But this will only likely be sanctioned by Manchester United if he signs a new contract.
