Manchester United are talked about as a relegation-set side but after beating Luton Town, the rest of the Premier League have been embarrassed.
Manchester United beat Luton Town in the Premier League on Saturday with a 1-0 win thanks to Victor Lindelof.
The win was the second consecutive and moved United onto 21 points which is in fact just five behind title-challenging Tottenham.
A huge win before the international break which should hopefully act as a catalyst for a strong run after the break.
United moved to sixth and despite a poor start, look right in the race for Champions League football.
Now, a statistic has emerged which truly makes the rest of the league look embarrassing.
Manchester United are the league’s most in-from team
After beating Luton on Saturday, Manchester United became the Premier League’s most in-form team.
Match of the Day revealed on X that United have picked up 12 points over the last five games, with Aston Villa the nearest side picking up 10 points.
The league’s most in-from team and steadily rising up the table, picking up these points while not performing well is a huge statement. Surely United will find form sooner or later and when they do are in a good position.
Second half of the season looking promising
With points now coming in, United are in an excellent position to push on as we approach the season’s mid-point.
The takeover situation looks set to be cleared up soon which should be a massive weight lifted from this team, so there’s no reason we can’t be in the Champions League race or even further.
Six points is the gap to Manchester City who are the league leaders, and this is our worst-ever start to a Premier League season.
If we manage to start playing well again and converting our chances, we could find ourselves with a lot of success this season.
