Manchester United are showing an interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko, according to reports.
A new right winger may well be high on the list for Manchester United in the summer as Erik Ten Hag’s first attempt at solving the problems on the right-hand side did not go too well.
Antony joined the club last summer for around £86 million but the Brazilian has struggled hugely to make the impact that a signing of that amount should.
The Brazilian was on the bench for United’s win over Aston Villa with Alejandro Garnacho impressing hugely on the right for the Red Devils and he could well be the man who is starting moving forward.

United’s interest in Bakayoko
According to a post on X from SPORT1 journalist Christopher Michel, United hold an interest in PSV right-winger Johan Bakayoko and he could well be a target for the Red Devils next summer.
The winger could be available for just £35 million if the Red Devils did choose to make a move but there may well be some risk attached to United making a move for yet another Eredivisie forward.
You wonder if Antony’s struggles in the Premier League would make United cautious about making another move for a forward from the top league in Dutch football.
However, with the winger being available for under half the price of Antony’s rather exorbitant fee, a move like this would provide a small amount of risk for the Red Devils with the potential for the 20-year-old to explode onto the scene.
Johan Bakayoko player profile
- Age: 20
- Date of birth: 20/04/2003
- Position: Right winger
- Club: PSV Eindhoven
- Former clubs: De Jong PSV
- Nationality: Belgian
Operating on the right wing, Bakayoko has managed four goals and 13 assists from 27 games this season. The Belgian forward could be an exciting option on that right-hand side.
The winger came through the youth academy at the Dutch side and impressed with 17 goals and 10 assists in the academy set up in the 2021/2022 season and has broken through this year and last.
An explosive forward who chooses to create for his striker rather than score himself, something that the United wingers have struggled with, could be vital.
At just £35 million for someone with 13 assists, as well as impressing in the Champions League, the Belgian could be a key asset if the Red Devils push hard for this signing.
