Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville both dropped their telling predictions for the Red Devils’ upcoming Premier League match against Luton Town.
Manchester United travel to Kenilworth Road on Sunday for their latest match, with Erik ten Hag’s men facing Luton Town on the back of serious momentum.
The Red Devils remain undefeated in their last six matches across all competitions, with United picking up five wins and one draw since the start of 2024.
United’s last league defeat came before the end of 2023 in a 2-1 defeat at City Ground to Nottingham Forest.
Erik ten Hag’s side played out a 2-2 draw against Tottenham at Old Trafford last month before winning their next three league fixtures in February.
United defeated Wolves in a thrilling 4-3 contest at the Molineux before the Red Devils emerged victorious over West Ham at Old Trafford in a 3-0 win.
The Red Devils saw a major boost in their top-four Premier League challenge after they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park last Sunday.
Keane and Neville predict Luton Town vs Man Utd
Manchester United are currently sixth in the Premier League table after 24 matches played, with the Red Devils six points adrift from the top four.
Erik ten Hag has already warned his United players they can no longer afford any slip-ups if they want to secure Champions League football next season.
United walked away with all three points against Luton Town last November after Victor Lindelof broke the deadlock at Old Trafford in the 1-0 Premier League win.
Speaking on the latest Stick to Football show, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane and Jill Scott dropped their predictions for Premier League matches.
Neville and Carragher teamed up for one side and Keane was on the opposition team alongside Scott, who filled in for Arsenal legend Ian Wright.
During the segment, Scott said that she backed United to beat Luton Town 2-1 and Neville initially agreed with her exact scoreline prediction.
“I reckon Luton will get a set piece, though,” she said on The Overlap, before asking: “Do we get bonus points?
“I would say 2-1 United.”
Neville added: “I would say 2-1 United. Would you [Carragher] say 2-1?”
Carragher responded to Neville by saying that he expects United to beat Luton Town 3-1, with Keane also agreeing that Ten Hag’s men will score three times.
“United will get three,” Keane said.
Reacting to Carragher, Neville replied: “Let’s go 3-1.”
Ten Hag on Luton Town test
Ten Hag insisted that United are not underestimating the test they face against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, despite their run of form so far in 2024.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he asked: “Is the pitch smaller or longer? It’s not 11 [v] 11? No referees are coming?”
Ten Hag added: “No, we have to… every ambience is different, of course, that is what I want to say. And we have to deal with the circumstances and it’s about playing football, 11 v 11, on the pitch, with refs, and we have to make it our game.
“It doesn’t matter who you face, if you play the best or the worst or in between, it doesn’t matter.
“We respect every opponent and definitely we are not in a position to underestimate any opponent, so we will not do [that].
“We have to play our best because we have seen their performances across the season are very good, and especially the last weeks, they are really improving.
“I have a lot of respect for this team, and we have to play our best football.”
