Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee is not currently on Manchester United’s pre-season tour.
New signing Joshua Zirkzee is awaiting permission to join up with his new Manchester United teammates.
The summer signing from Bologna went straight on holiday after his transfer was confirmed, instructed to do so after his involvement at Euro 2024.
Zirkzee was part of the Dutch side which reached the semi-finals, before being eliminated by England.
Zirkzee on holiday in LA
Joshua Zirkzee has been on holiday in Los Angeles, just like Manchester United teammate Kobbie Mainoo.
They were both, coincidentally, a short trip away from the SoFi Stadium where Manchester United played Arsenal in the club’s first friendly of the USA tour.
Zirkzee was seen on holiday with Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala, who he previously played alongside with the German club.
Manchester United need forwards
Manchester United are going to need Joshua Zirkzee back, after an injury to Rasmus Hojlund.
The severity of Hojlund’s injury is yet to be determined. The Dane was substituted after just 16 minutes against Arsenal, after he had given Unied the lead.
Joshua Zirkzee gives United extra depth in attack, but Manchester United do need to be cautious with him now.
The last thing we need is two injured strikers, which is what could happen if Zirkzee is rushed back into action to compensate for Hojlund’s absence.
It would be sensible to add a third striker into the mix, and there is still time to do so.
