Man Utd fans all in agreement about Marcus Rashford after Liverpool defeat, they’ve made two major predictions

Manchester United fans wasted no time dropping clear-cut predictions about Marcus Rashford, despite the defeat to Liverpool in the States on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag’s men travelled to the Williams–Brice Stadium in South Carolina for their final friendly clash of this summer’s pre-season tour.

Manchester United kicked off their pre-season campaign last month with a 1-0 defeat to Rosenborg before bouncing back with a 2-0 win over Rangers.

The Red Devils began their tour of the United States with a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, but Erik ten Hag’s side bounced back with a 3-2 win over Real Betis.

Following the Liverpool match, United will face Manchester City in their Community Shield showdown at Wembley on 10th August.

Rashford impresses for Man Utd vs Liverpool

Marcus Rashford missed England’s run to the Euro 2024 final in Germany this summer after Gareth Southgate left him out of his Three Lions squad.

The 26-year-old Manchester United star disappointed with his form last season, with Rashford scoring only eight times in 43 appearances across all competitions.

Rashford has secured regular playing time during the pre-season tour and the England international impressed in the 3-2 victory over Real Betis.

The United forward returned to the starting XI against Liverpool and Rashford was arguably the Red Devils’ best player in the first half in Columbia.

Rashford was lively on the pitch and showed the impressive creative attacking flair that United fans had seen from him during the tour.

Despite the Three Lions star’s superb showing, United went into half-time 2-0 down against Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Fabio Carvalho fired Liverpool into the lead in the 10th minute at the Williams–Brice Stadium before Curtis Jones doubled Liverpool’s lead.

Rashford only played the first half of the match before Erik ten Hag withdrew the Three Lions international and replaced him with Scott McTominay.

Man Utd fans react to Rashford vs Liverpool

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about Rashford’s performance against Liverpool in the first half.

Red Devils supporters are now convinced that United will see an improved Rashford in the 2024-25 season and believe that he is back to his best form.

They made their feelings clear that Rashford could push for a “30 G/A” or “40 G/A” season after the player looked “very sharp” against Liverpool.

“I’m loving this new Rashford; please bring it into the new season, Rashy,” one fan said.

Another X user posted: “40 G/A for Marcus Rashford this season?”

A third wrote: “Our success in the upcoming season is VERY dependent on Rashford, IMO. An amazing season from Rashford will [secure] us top 4.”

“Rashford 30 G/A season [is] loading,” someone else tweeted.

While a fifth added: “If Rashford keeps this pre-season performance, he might just win the Golden Boot this season.”

And a sixth commented: “Bruh, if Rashford keeps this form, we will cook this season. He looks very sharp.”

Somebody else said: “Marcus Rashford, this sharpness is selling me dreams for [the] 24/25 [season].”

An eighth fan argued: “That Rashford redemption arc is going to slap so hard this season.”
