After years of scouting, Manchester United could finally be set to complete the signing of one of the world’s most coveted teenagers.
Manchester United already have an elite group of youngsters but could add to it after Ineos created a strong wonderkid spine during the last transfer window.
The summer saw the arrival of devastating 16-year-old striker Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal – already he’s a proven success with four goals and two assists in just four games
Ineos also signed Sekou Kone from FC Guidars, with initial signs in U21 action suggesting he is due to be a huge hit.
Most impressively though, Leny Yoro was snatched from Real Madrid in the summer. Arguably the best defensive prospect in football and Ineos got him – a real statement of intent.
Now, it seems Dan Ashworth and Co are far from finished and have another superb youngster in their sights.
Sverre Nypan decision expected in January
Manchester United have wanted Sverre Nypan for years, now a deal is finally possible. Sverre Nypan is Norway’s next big thing and has already taken on United with an impressive preseason display in front of Ineos.
United have been scouting Nypan this season and now as he nears his 18th birthday, a move to sign him looks likely in 2025.
Now according to Norweigan outlet Nettavisen, Nypan has been told by Rosenborg he can travel to visit Premier League clubs following the conclusion of the Eliteserien on December 1st.
United are one of many clubs in England and Europe to be interested in Nypan and he will meet them all in preparation of a move in January.
However, the report does point out that United are one of the more relevant clubs in the race. Nypan’s open status as a United fan will be a bonus for Ineos in their efforts to convince him.
However, the footballing project at Old Trafford should speak for itself as he has the chance to join the aforementioned elite young spine being built by Ineos.
Additionally, it has been reported by TBR’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey that Nypan would cost upwards of £10m, potentially rising as high as £20m.
Ruben Amorim to be handed a welcome gift by Ineos
Ruben Amorim has only just arrived at United and yet already we are finding out so much information on his plans.
Amorim will show great interest in the academy. So handing him a 17-year-old described as a ‘generational talent’ seems fitting.
Reports previously have claimed that United view Nypan as ideal for Amorim.
So if United can sign Nypan in January, it would be the perfect gift for Amorim to get to work with. Nypan could be immense for United in midfield for the new head coach.
