Marcus Rashford continues to be the biggest topic of conversation at Manchester United as his future takes up all the headlines.
The mood is low at Manchester United after a poor start to the season. It doesn’t help when the team is underperforming and key players are being frozen out of the squad.
Ruben Amorim decided to leave Marcus Rashford out of the squad for four matches after the 27-year-old revealed he is ready for a new challenge. He was recalled to the bench for United’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle.
Rashford has turned down approaches from the Saudi Pro League, with Spain being his preferred destination if Barcelona can sort out their finances.
PSG playing down links to Marcus Rashford
Rashford has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain for years.
A deal never materialised as Rashford remained at Old Trafford but his representatives are understood to be seeking a move to another European club rather than take his career to another continent like America or the Middle East.
Rashford will aim to attract interest from clubs that will give him a platform to get back into the England squad, after missing out on Euro 2024 last summer.
According to ESPN, PSG are playing down links with Rashford despite coach Luis Enrique suggesting that he would like to bolster his squad in January.
The report states that Rashford’s entourage have a good relationship with PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, however, that won’t make a difference in January because the Ligue 1 side are unlikely to make new signings unless Randal Kolo Muani and Milan Skriniar depart.
This backs up what United In Focus reported in December when PSG’s appetite to pursue Rashford faded.
Rashford’s options are limited
With PSG pulling out of the race to sign Rashford, the England international appears limited in terms of where he could move next.
That’s presumably why Rashford has not completely given up on his time at United.

If the right offer comes in, from another European club, United chiefs will have a decision to make because Ineos have introduced cost-cutting strategies since becoming minority owners of the club.
Rashford isn’t interested in moving to the Saudi Pro League or MLS at this stage of his career, with fears it would completely rule out his chance of getting back into the England squad under Thomas Tuchel.
