Manchester United FA Cup fifth round opponents confirmed

Manchester United’s FA Cup fifth round opponents have been confirmed

The FA Cup fifth round draw has taken place, with Manchester United’s defence of the trophy continuing.

Manchester United won the FA Cup in 2024, and now under head coach Ruben Amorim, United are alive and kicking heading into the fifth round.

United won away at Arsenal in the third round, and beat Leicester City in the fourth round thanks to a late, probably offside winner from Harry Maguire.

United continue in the fifth round at home, taking on Premier League opponents Fulham.

Fulham (H)

A home fixture against Fulham is a decent draw – but Ruben Amorim’s side’s record at Old Trafford does cause some concern.

United have beaten Fulham twice this season, winning 1-0 each time.

Lisandro Martinez scored the winner in the last game at Craven Cottage, he has since been ruled out for the season with an injury.

United avoided the four biggest threats, City, Newcastle, Brighton and Aston Villa, and should feel quietly optimistic of a place in the quarter-finals.
