Manuel Ugarte raves over Man Utd teammate who is absolute 'quality', admits players 'all look up to him'

Manchester United are starting to click under Ruben Amorim with one man the foundation of all things good.

Back-to-back wins for Manchester United, both by three-goal margins, have fans believing again, and fully behind Ruben Amorim being the man to bring the glory days back.

The away fans at the King Power on Sunday night made this very clear, with a chant specially for the Portuguese head coach.

Amorim responded to this by admitting it was strange and that he felt he had a lot of work left to do.

“It’s strange. It gives me a lot of responsibility. I know we’re still very far from what they expect and what they deserve. I know that. I want to win and improve our performance.”

Everything good that has came in the past week, Amorim will be thanking one player for, with Manuel Ugarte picking him out.

Manuel Ugarte raves about Bruno Fernandes

Over the past few weeks, Bruno Fernandes has been sensational.

The club captain has been on a mission, with five goals and two assists in his last three games and now has been praised by Ugarte, who spoke with Andy Mitten for The National.

“Bruno is doing very well,” Ugarte explained regarding his midfield partner.

“He’s at a very high level. His quality in terms of goals, assists, and how he’s committed defensively is important.

“He’s the captain, and we all look up to him. I feel comfortable playing with him. He’s a very good person on a daily basis.”

The entire team should absolutely be in admiration and learning from Bruno, considering without him, United’s worst season of the Premier League era would be even worse.

United haven’t lost a game – in open play – for seven games, and week on week things are improving with the squad beginning to understand their roles.

Bruno has been heralded for his performances in this run and rightfully so as he crosses the 30 mark for goal contributions this season with 16 goals and 16 assists.

Since joining, this is Bruno’s second most prolific season and there is still a maximum of 14 games still to play for United. He suits his new central midfield role and seems to be getting better with age.
