Manchester United are hoping to see Dan Gore thrive at Rotherham United but his progress has been halted of late.
Some Manchester United talents emerge straight into the first team without going out on loan first.
Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo spring to mind but many others have to go out on loan for first-team exposure.
Ethan Williams is shining at Cheltenham Town following a January move and is no doubt putting himself on the radar of League One clubs.
Rhys Bennett is featuring for Fleetwood Town and even scored a first professional goal against Crewe Alexandra.
Not all of United’s loans are thriving though and Dan Gore is suffering more injury frustration at Rotherham United.

Steve Evans update on Dan Gore
Gore was loaned out to Port Vale in 2024 but managed just one appearance in an injury-hit spell with the club.
After recovering from a dislocated shoulder, Gore joined League One side Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the season.
Gore impressed Rotherham fans with a brilliant debut but injuries have again set him back.
Boss Steve Evans was baffled by Gore’s foot injury and the midfielder hasn’t played since that debut against Birmingham City on February 1.
Evans has now told The Rotherham Advertiser that he hopes to have Gore fit and available for select in April.
The Millers boss added that he worked ‘so hard’ to sign Gore in the first place and wants to show fans just why he was such a key target.
“We’re hopeful we’ll see him playing April football,” said Evans. “The Man United staff have spoken to our medical staff and said they’re hopeful that will be the case.
“I’m keen for our supporters to see the player who we worked so hard to get,” he added.

Dan Gore will be desperate to impress
There have been high hopes around Gore for a while now.
Gore was predicted to join United’s first team in 2023, following the likes of Hannibal Mejbri and Kobbie Mainoo into Erik ten Hag’s plans.
That hasn’t really happened though and Toby Collyer now appears to have bypassed Gore too.
These injury blows have been so unfortunate for Gore and while he is only 20, he needs minutes to get back to his best.
We hope to see Gore back in action before the end of the season and, having impressed in his Rotherham debut, show more of that class before returning to United this summer.
