Manchester United face a big summer transfer window, but one position may soon become a top priority for Ruben Amorim.
The end of the Premier League season is now drawing closer, with a huge summer transfer window on the horizon for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim would no doubt love to make a host of changes to his United squad, but funds may be a little limited as things stand.
The United boss may need to prioritise certain areas, and new goalkeepers may be on the radar.
Andre Onana floundered against Lyon, whilst Tom Heaton is expected to leave United this summer.
Amorim allegedly wanted two goalkeepers in January, and that may yet extend to three during the upcoming window.

Update on Altay Bayindir’s Manchester United future
Onana was left out against Newcastle United on Sunday, with Altay Bayindir coming into the starting XI.
The Turkish international made his first Premier League appearance, but it ended up being a day to forget.
United lost 4-1 to Newcastle, and Bayindir struggled between the sticks, committing a terrible error for the Magpies’ fourth goal.
iNews now report that Bayindir is likely to leave United in search of first-team football away from Old Trafford.
Bayindir joined United from Fenerbahce in 2023, effectively replacing Dean Henderson in United’s pecking order.
United paid just £4.3million for Bayindir, a clear sign that he was signed as backup to the much more expensive Onana.
The 27-year-old has only played eight times in all competitions for United and just five times under Amorim.
Bayindir’s potential United was reported in January, and after the winter window closed without a deal being done, a summer exit now looks likely.
Manchester United may need three goalkeepers
Heaton appears nailed-on to leave United at the end of his contract, with Bayindir likely to follow him out of Old Trafford.
Onana has received Saudi Arabian interest, and his poor form in 2025 means United may be tempted to cash in.
Losing three goalkeepers in one fell swoop would leave United with a lot of work to do, but it may be just what Amorim wants in an attempt to overhaul his options.
Heaton’s homegrown status means United may prioritise adding an English goalkeeper either as second or third choice.
Preston North End’s Freddie Woodman is on United’s radar and could fit the bill, though we can imagine Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Sam Johnstone will appeal, given that he was trained at United.
United may need to find a veteran like Heaton, and finding the right balance in terms of a first-choice goalkeeper supported by stoppers who are willing to sit on the bench is a tough task.
It’s a challenge staring United in the face, though, with three goalkeepers potentially on the way out this summer.
