Italian reports suggest Inter Milan may be open to selling ‘incredibly strong’ £34m talent amid Man Utd links

Manchester United could be in the market for more defensive additions this summer as Ruben Amorim rebuilds his squad.

The end of the season is now in sight and Manchester United could end the campaign on a real high.

United beat Athletic Club 3-0 on Thursday night, meaning Ruben Amorim’s side have one foot in the Europa League.

Amorim could end the season with major silverware under his belt – and a ticket to next season’s Champions League.

That would certainly aid United’s transfer business this summer, with Ineos looking to strike early deals.

Inter Milan may sell Manchester United-linked Yann Aurel Bisseck

United invested big money in Matthis de Ligt and Leny Yoro last summer, but may still spend more money on centre back additions.

Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are set to leave United as their contracts end this summer.

Reports from Caught Offside last week suggested that United are now interested in signing Inter Milan’s Yann Aurel Bisseck.

It was suggested that United have joined Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United in the race for Bisseck.

United raided Inter for Andre Onana in 2023 and may be back with a move for Bisseck this summer.

Inter Live now claim that Inter are open to selling Bisseck this summer, given the huge profit he could rake in.

Inter signed Bisseck from Danish side AGF in 2023 but could now sell for around €40million (£34million).

It’s suggested that Inter may take the cash and reinvest in other centre backs, with Genoa’s Koni De Winter, Atalanta’s Isak Hien, Bologna’s Sam Beukema and Udinese’s Jaka Bijol on the radar.

Inter appear to be making plans for the future in case Bisseck is sold, with United hovering.

Yann Aurel Bisseck profiled

Bisseck hails from Cologne and emerged in the Koln ranks, but spent most of his time out on loan at Holstein Kiel, Roda JC, Vitoria Guimaraes and AGF.

After impressing for AGF, Bisseck turned his move to Denmark permanent as he found a home in Scandinavia.

Bisseck was on the move again just a year later, though, as Inter spotted his potential and lured him to Italy.

The 24-year-old – who stands at a gigantic 6ft 5in tall – played 21 times for Inter last season, but now has 41 appearances to his name in all competitions.

As quoted by Football Italia, Bisseck has been praised as ‘incredibly strong’ by Inter boss Simone Inzaghi, and his experience in a back three may appeal to Amorim.

Bisseck fits the role of the middle centre back due to his huge frame, but has also played on the right side of Inzaghi’s defence thanks to his athleticism and his ability to defend in wide areas.

A one-cap Germany international, Bisseck appears to have a bright future ahead of him – and United could make a move this summer.
