The future under Ruben Amorim looks very bright, with one surprise Manchester United player now expected to play a role in this.
It hasn’t been the smoothest start to life at Old Trafford from the Ineos-appointed Manchester United head coach.
After a disastrous December, things have slowly been improving, but the results have not told this same story. In the Europa League though, this has been the case with some impressive performances and results leading to the final in Bilbao.
United have lost to Spurs three times this season, but this will be different, with the Red Devils’ form in Europe and also improvements in system surely enough to finally overcome Ange Postecoglou’s side who are having their own nightmare season.
It is in Europe that Ruben Amorim’s best football has come, with Mason Mount’s return being a huge positive, after proving his worth at the club.
Another player has emerged as a shock key player for United in the campaign, and this has seen him go from unwanted to untouchable under Amorim.

Ruben Amorim is now keen to keep Casemiro
When Amorim was struggling in December, Casemiro’s poor performances in midfield looked to have led to his exit from the club. This saw claims that United were set to sell Casemiro in January, with the experienced Brazilian even dropping behind Toby Collyer in the pecking order.
However, since this, in the knockout stages of the Europa League, Amorim has made tactical changes to accommodate Casemiro and they have worked a treat.
Casemiro has been United’s second-best Europa League performer as shown by SofaScore, and now, according to a report from The Sun, the Brazilian’s future is more certain.

It reports that Amorim has been working closely with Casemiro and now believes that he has a big role to play at the club in the rebuild. Amorim thinks that Casemiro’s experience and versatility are two key assets in helping United return to the top of the game.
The pair have an incredible relationship as seen by Casemiro embracing Amorim after United beat Athletic Club.
Ruben Amorim’s U-turn over Casemiro will be tough to convince Ineos of
By the sounds of things, Amorim is very keen to retain Casemiro this summer; however, with the footballing structure in place at United, he is not going to be making the decision on his own.
Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada will probably have the final say and given Casemiro earns £375k-a-week at United it would be difficult to make an argument for him to remain.
United’s financial situation means that having the Brazilian as a player who can only play once a week and also struggles in English football simply isn’t feasible.
So this summer we still fully expect Casemiro to be heading to Saudi Arabia, however, Amorim will not be disappointed if nothing comes to fruition and he stays this summer.
