Benjamin Sesko stepped into the thankless job of being Manchester United’s No. 9, but Ruben Amorim has been told the striker is already doing an admirable job at what ‘very few’ players are capable of doing.
An already difficult job for Benjamin Sesko was made even more tricky due to the amount of money spent on him.
Furthermore, it came at the cost of buying a central midfielder, a regret that is clearly haunting this Man Utd system.
However, all this considered, transfer insider Graeme Bailey believes Sesko is doing what only a few players are capable of in world football.

Benjamin Sesko showing encouraging signs
If Rasmus Hojlund’s form after leaving Man Utd is any indication, it is that the crown of being United’s No. 9 in the current day and age is extremely heavy.
To wear that crown at the age of 22, while being the first Slovenian to play for the club, means Sesko is effectively carrying the expectations of a whole country and the most scrutinised club in world football.
Despite all that, and a slow start to life at Old Trafford, Sesko has started to show encouraging signs, scoring in back-to-back games leading up to the international break.
Transfer insider Graeme Bailey, speaking on the Beyond the Back Four podcast, said being the No. 9 at Man Utd is a job that very few players are capable of doing, and Sesko is doing it admirably.
He said: “Playing at Old Trafford, for Manchester United, there’s so much pressure there. We shouldn’t underestimate the impact Sesko has had.
“He has scored the goals, but having to lead the line for Man Utd is something very few players are capable of doing. It looks like he’s making a good fist of it.”
Sesko has the mentality to succeed at Old Trafford
It is well established by now that talent alone is hardly enough to succeed at Manchester United.
The likes of Manuel Ugarte, Noussair Mazraoui, and, more recently, Matheus Cunha, have all spoken about the extra scrutiny that playing for Man Utd brings.
Only those who deal with that scrutiny well have any chance of succeeding at Old Trafford, and Sesko looks to be made of the right stuff.
Ruben Amorim has repeatedly talked about his work ethic, but what’s more important is that he’s not letting the circumstances get him down.
Even when he wasn’t scoring and it was playing on his mind, he found other ways to contribute, which meant he wasn’t a “+1” burden on the team.
When the goals arrived, they added the cherry on top of a cake that Sesko had already created based on his work till that point.
As long as he keeps doing that, nothing can stop him from becoming a bona fide success at United. The crown weighs heavily, but Sesko is determined to carry it.
