Ruben Amorim has now made his case for one thing that he did in Manchester United’s Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
The 40-year-old Manchester United manager was in the City Ground dugout amid the first anniversary of his appointment as head coach at the Premier League club.
However, Ruben Amorim was unable to end the day on a high note after the Red Devils blew their first-half lead and were forced to come from behind on Saturday.
Casemiro was able to put United 1-0 up against Nottingham Forest in the first half before the Red Devils suffered a collapse early in the second half of the match.
Morgan Gibbs-White netted the equaliser against the Red Devils in the 48th minute before Nicolo Savona fired Forest into the lead two minutes later at City Ground.
However, Amorim and his men were bailed out from suffering a shock defeat to Sean Dyche’s men after Amad Diallo scored the all-important equaliser for United.

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim defends the decision he made in the 2-2 Nottingham Forest result at City Ground
Ruben Amorim named an unchanged Manchester United XI against Nottingham Forest after the Red Devils’ 4-2 victory over Brighton at Old Trafford last Saturday.
However, the United head coach made very few tactical changes during the match, with only Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui coming off the bench for his side.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Amorim has now insisted that he did not want to “break something” by making repeated changes in the second half.
“And then it’s not the quality because we have a lot of quality on the bench, but sometimes I have the feeling [that] if I’m going to stop the game every time, I’m going to break something,” he said.
“And I think we were improving during the second half, so my feeling was I’m not changing in the guys [up] front – we have the talent there.”

Amad Diallo continued to play as the right wing-back in Amorim’s tactical system for United and the 23-year-old Ivorian winger came to his side’s rescue in the second half.
The Ivory Coast international produced a sensational first-time volley from outside of the box after Forest’s clearance from a United corner landed straight into Amad’s path.
Speaking on the United winger, Amorim continued: “Maybe, and I know that Amad can do so much better, but I know that Amad one against one is really dangerous, so sometimes we just expect that one guy who is not doing a great game can change the game for us.
“He managed to score. Again, we have [the] potential to do so much better and we lost two points today.”
United had won their three previous Premier League matches under Red Devils boss Amorim before dropping points to Forest at City Ground on the weekend.
