Michael Carrick has won back-to-back games in his first two matches in charge, and he will be extremely proud of United’s attacking display in North London.

Cunha was excellent and is fully deserving of the headlines, but further back, Harry Maguire deserves huge credit for his performance.

Harry Maguire was perfect for Man United vs Arsenal

Carrick named an unchanged line-up to face Arsenal, which meant the partnership of Maguire and Lisandro Martinez remained intact.

Martinez bounced back from his own goal brilliantly and put on another impressive display, but Maguire was statistically perfect.

As per SofaScore, Maguire won 100% of his tackles, 100% of his ground duels and 100% of his aerial duels. It was a flawless performance from the first to last minute.

While it has been confirmed that Casemiro will leave this summer when his contract expires, Ineos should not allow Maguire to follow him out the door.

Maguire has proven he is United’s best defender, and he is equally as effective in the opposition box from set pieces.
