Travis Binnion has quickly become a popular figure in the Manchester United first team after being promoted from his role as coach of the U21s.
After Michael Carrick was appointed Manchester United head coach until the end of the season, the 44-year-old settled on a backroom team to support him that consisted of both familiar and new faces.
Carrick was joined by Steve Holland, Jonathan Woodgate, Jonny Evans, Travis Binnion and Craig Mawson.
They all have contributed to an improved run of results, with United winning five and drawing one of the first six games since Carrick’s return to Old Trafford.

The role of each coach is to help get the best out of each player, especially those who have struggled with the weight of the United shirt.
Carrick opted for experience when Holland was made his assistant, though all of the coaches appointed will have their strengths.
Binnion is already proving popular with the players after swapping his role as lead coach of the U21s.
Binnion is a prominent presence in the warm-ups, but now his man-management is proving to be a hit in the dressing room.
Binnion was spotted with his arm around Joshua Zirkzee during the warm-ups before United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.
Now, Benjamin Sesko has hailed the coach for providing extra drills for the Slovenian striker.
“After the trainings it’s work in the box, on the edge of the box, short contacts because in the Premier League you don’t have time,” Sesko said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“This is where it’s really helping me and not just me but also the other players. I’m really happy that I can work with [Travis] because he’s helped me a lot.”
Benjamin Sesko’s flying start to 2026
Sesko has been an impact substitute under Carrick, raising questions over whether a change should be made to the line-up.
According to stats provided by Daily Mail reporter Nathan Salt, Sesko is the best striker in the Premier League in terms of goals per minute in 2026.
The 23-year-old is averaging a goal every 55 minutes since the turn of the year – among Premier League strikers with at least two goals.
Sesko has scored five goals after playing 273 minutes.
The former RB Leipzig striker will be looking to add to his season tally when United host Crystal Palace on Sunday.
