Benjamin Sesko was the game winner for Manchester United again this weekend against Crystal Palace, scoring the second in a 2-1 comeback victory.
It was another hard-fought victory for Manchester United against Crystal Palace, never doing things the easy way.
It took going behind before United kicked into gear. But United ultimately secured a 2-1 victory, continuing the red-hot streak that has inspired a push into third place in the league.
While Bruno Fernandes was the man of the match, United once again owes Benjamin Sesko a great deal of praise, as his goal was what secured the victory.

Sesko scored his seventh goal of 2026 in the 2-1 win, and a fourth in his last five, as he continues to make himself one of the league’s most impressive strikers.
Speaking to the media after the game, Michael Carrick heaped praise on his striker, admitting the Slovenian has improved since he took charge.
“I am very happy for Ben [Sesko]. He’s improved a lot; he’s getting used to playing for this club. He wants to succeed so badly.
“It’s a real pleasure to work with him. It was a fantastic goal. He brings so much to the team.”
Carrick also added in a separate interview that the decision to start Sesko wasn’t difficult.
“It’s not a gamble. It wasn’t that big of a decision. Benjamin is in a good place, and he has had a major impact in recent weeks. He’s learning what it feels like to play here, and to score the winner today is fantastic. We are here to help, and I’m sure that will continue. He is willing to do whatever that is.”
Sesko also earned praise from Fernandes for his performance in the 2-1 win against Palace.

There were plenty of questions over whether Sesko would start for United against Palace, and Carrick decided to make that change, giving him his first start of this new era.
It wasn’t his best outing, struggling from a lack of creativity from his teammates, but Sesko still came in clutch to head home what turned out to the the winner.
After he scored, Sesko started playing with more freedom and confidence, linking up well with Fernandes on one particular occasion.
This performance repaid Carrick’s faith to start him and should nail down his place against Newcastle on Wednesday.
Sesko continues to get better, and he looks like he will be worth every penny.
