Manchester United fans are quickly running out of patience with Joshua Zirkzee.

When Manchester United were losing 2-0 to Hull City in their Premier League opener, Michael Carrick turned to his bench but snubbed Joshua Zirkzee.

Zirkzee impressed in pre-season, but Carrick still opted to bring on an unprepared Benjamin Sesko who has not played a single minute of football over the summer.

Carrick’s call to leave Zirkzee on the bench said a lot about his lack of trust in the Dutch striker, and it seems United fans are ready to wave goodbye to the 25-year-old.

Manchester United fans are ready to sell Joshua Zirkzee

Speaking on the TalkingPoints platform, United fans were asked about Zirkzee and the general consensus is that his time is up at Old Trafford.

Users argued that Zirkzee has failed to take his opportunities at United and is clearly not trusted by staff.

If Benjamin Sesko with 0 pre-season games still gets minutes over Zirkzee who was available for all 6… it really doesn’t bode well for him!

I mean, who is after him? Not like Real Madrid are chasing him so that we can make an easy sale. 🙄

He should be sold as soon as possible. He contributions little to the team and dawdles about the pitch with no particular aim when he is allowed on.

Sell. I like aspects of Zirkzee but he will never score consistently enough to be a useful back up number 9

He has failed to justify himself and rise to the standards expected at Manchester United over at least 2 years and different coaches. It is illogical to keep him in the team over and over again and expect different results if he is not putting enough effort or just doesn’t have the capability to change.

Joshua Zirkzee transfer news latest

Zirkzee’s snub against Hull proves that he is not truly trusted by Carrick, and therefore Ineos have a week to decide whether or not to offload him this summer.

Juventus have shown interest in Zirkzee and could make a late move for him before the transfer window slams shut.

But the design of a Zirkzee sale would likely be similar to that of Rasmus Hojlund; a loan deal with an option to buy.

The risk behind that is if Zirkzee fails in Italy and ends up returning to United with an even lower value.
