4-3-3: Predicted Manchester United XI v Fulham, teenager to start for first time, £80m star's Old Trafford goodbye

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United look to conclude their Premier League campaign with a win against Fulham.

After securing top four and Champions League football against Chelsea on Thursday, Sunday is a game with little to play for.

This could open the door for Erik ten Hag to rotate his squad now the pressure is off. Rotating could also give some players a full weeks rest before the FA Cup final next Saturday.

One thing to play for however is the clubs home record this season. Erik ten Hag is unbeaten at Old Trafford since September in all competitions and since August in the league.

United can afford to field a rotated team against Fulham, with a few potential youngsters in the mix.

So we do expect Ten Hag to substantially rotate his side for the seasons finale.

Jack Butland should be given his debut for multiple reasons. Primarily so that Ten Hag can review Butland as an option to remain at the club.

The defence will also likely be rotated, so we see Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Tyrell Malacia all starting.

This could be Harry Maguire’s final game at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player. The club captain has only seven league starts this season and is widely expected to leave in the summer for regular football.

In midfield some changes are also expected. Scott McTominay should start, with next to him 20-year-old, Zidane Iqbal, for his first league start.

Bruno Fernandes needs a rest, however we expect him to start at the 10. But he could be rotated by an early Dan Gore substitution, or even Fred.

Alejandro Garnacho should start on the left having fully recovered from his injury. While Antony‘s injury means it is the perfect game for Facundo Pellistri to finally start a game.

Up front it will likely be Wout Weghorst to protect Anthony Martial ahead of the final. It will also be the Dutchman’s last game at Old Trafford.

XI: Butland, Dalot, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia; McTominay, Iqbal, Fernandes, Pellistri, Garnacho, Weghorst.
