Man Utd’s current ranking in all-time Premier League table ahead of 2026/27 season under Michael Carrick

Manchester United’s Premier League points tally since the inception of England’s top-flight league in 1992 is telling ahead of the new campaign under Michael Carrick.

The Red Devils were in the inaugural season of the Premier League in the 1992-93 campaign under iconic former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Sir Alex Ferguson oversaw 21 of the Red Devils’ 34 Premier League campaigns and the legendary Scotsman led United to all 13 of their league titles during his reign.

The 84-year-old former United manager bowed out of Old Trafford in 2013 and the Red Devils have since failed in their bid to climb back to the top of English football.

Man Utd are still top of the all-time Premier League table and the Red Devils hold a comfortable margin ahead of their rivals

Michael Carrick will be the seventh permanent Manchester United manager to start a Premier League season in the Old Trafford dugout in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, Erik ten Hag and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all saw out two seasons or more for the Red Devils after Ferguson retired from management.

However, David Moyes failed to see out a full season and Ruben Amorim’s 14-month reign in the Premier League was spread out across parts of two separate campaigns.

Amazon Prime Video’s account on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared a key infographic that featured the all-time Premier League table ahead of the new season.

United have amassed a whopping 2,614 points since the Premier League was formed, with the Red Devils clear of both Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Red Devils are 141 points clear of defending champions Arsenal in the all-time table, while United are 212 points ahead of fierce Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Ferguson secured the lion’s share of the Red Devils’ 2,614 points by collecting 1,752 points during his reign, which is around 67.0 per cent of the combined total.

The managers since the 2012-13 Premier League season have amassed 862 points of United’s total points, which is around 33.0 per cent of the 2,614 tally.

Ferguson picked up 528 wins and 168 draws from the 810 Premier League matches that he oversaw during his historic managerial reign at Old Trafford.
