Ex-Manchester United star hilariously trolls Liverpool with Tweet to Gary Neville

Ashley Young has hilariously trolled Liverpool with a Tweet he sent to Gary Neville following Aston Villa’s draw against Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Aston Villa held Liverpool to a draw at Anfield, which has nearly ended their hopes to play Champions League football next season.

Jacob Ramsay got the goal for the Villans which was set up by none other than ex-Manchester United man, Ashley Young.

The 37-year-old evidently still has a love for United and their fans, which was showcased in his hilarious Tweet in response to Gary Neville. More on this below.

Ashley Young trolls Liverpool with Tweet to Gary Neville

Responding to a Sky Sports clip of Neville and Jamie Carragher discussing the race for the top four and Champions League spots, Young Tweeted: ‘Nothing like a plan coming together, OOPS,’ then proceeded to tag Gary Neville.

The video had Gary Neville worried as to whether Liverpool would do the ‘unthinkable’ and finish above Manchester United, however, due to Villa’s draw yesterday this now looks highly unlikely.

Neville later responded to his former teammate, Tweeting: ‘Never been as happy to be wrong’.

Liverpool could still obtain a spot, but it would have to mean Newcastle and Man Utd both lose their last two games, whilst Liverpool win there’s – which is not looking likely.

Klopp’s team will have to settle for the Europa League it seems. United fans don’t care though, we can’t wait to see what Erik ten Hag can cook up in the Champions League next season.
